Hey I really enjoyed your first podcast, and am looking forward to hearing more. How long do we have to wait for the promised Denis Dyack interview?
Is this podcast on the zune marketplace???
iTunes Music Store and Zune Marketplace links are pending. Until then you can still subscribe by posting the RSS link into either application.

Hey folks, thanks for all the kind words. It certainly inspires us to make more. The plan right now is to publish a new podcast every other Wednesday.
If there’s anything you want us to talk about leave a comment. We very well may use your idea for an upcoming show!
Cool, a podcast in the middle of the week! I have something to do between sunday (major nelson) and friday (everyone else) now!!! Good job guys
Wow awesome comments! Thanks for all the support guys, we look forward to continue brining the best inside scoop we can from within MGS!
It begins..
Nice podcast…I enjoyed it.
nice podcast. working for SCEE’s QA department i can vouch for a lot of the same stuff you guys are discussing, we only get free cakes once a week though p
You guys do a really great show. Nice to see you weren’t all stiff and “corporate” if you catch my drift. You were funny and gave a load of interesting insight into how things roll where you work.
The only thing I didn’t like was finding out this wont be a weekly thing
Keep the podcasts coming, I’ll be listening for sure.
This seems like a nice podcast. I’m subscribing now.

@Tim Rosser: Oh, you’re right. I listen to EGM Live as well…
Hello. Great show! I have one question. I am currently looking to join as a playtester as a job. I cant find it on the jobs page. Will you please link to this?
Thanks
Nice, one of my new favorite podcasts. Great podcast! I listen to 15 podcasts regularly and this is one of my new favorites.
Hey Nick,
I will see what I can do about getting you a link!
As testers, you should know that you primarily perform a QC (Quality Control) function, not a QA (Quality Assurance) function – the former is predominantly reactive, while the latter is proactive (more process oriented). Inspection/Testing vs. Auditing.
Why so many places confuse QC and QA, I don’t know, but it’s unfortunate that James Portnow’s article doesn’t use the correct terms.
LimitBreaker: We actually don’t use either term @ MGS, we refer to our function as simply “Test.”
More specifically, we’re Software Design/Development Engineers in Test. This is to point out the fact we’re not just testing, we’re engineering the way the game is tested. And there’s no way to do that in a strictly reactive capacity.
Great job. Looking forward to the next pod-cast.
Hey guys, nice first podcast! Very interesting listen, very free flowing and easy to listen too. A bit short though, but I’ll let that slide as its your first show!
Check out my Xbox 360 community site, http://dimorphic360.wordpress.com
In my field of microprocessor design*, there is a large component of the testing which is automated. We can generate a pseudo-random test sequence & compare the observed results to the predictions of a trusted model.
I was wondering about the application of similar techniques to game testing…for instance in the sort of seam testing or object placement verification that I’ve read about here. Perhaps you can discuss on your podcast at some point.

Great podcast, i’m looking forward to the next.

Platform Biased…
No this isn’t a Mac vs PC argument.
As some of you know, I make video games for a living. Some fellow Microsoft game testers and I have put together a podcast about gaming from an insider perspective, called Platform Biased.
