Hurrah! I can finally talk about what I’ve been working on all this year: Scene It? Box Office Smash has been announced during the Microsoft Keynote @ E3.
This new Scene It is the first retail game to support the new Xbox LIVE Avatars (also announced today) so that you can play as your own custom character. The other big new feature is online play for 16 people via LIVE.
We’ll speak more about Scene It? and the other announcements from E3 in an upcoming podcast.

yay, John! Isn’t good to know that he actually does some work around here?
Cool! I can’t wait to play it!
Just a quick “thanks”
My non-gaming (close to ‘anti-gaming’) and female housemates are hooked on what MS has come up with through casual gaming. Viva Pinata, VP: Party Animals, Lego Star Wars/Indy and Scene It are played daily in our hosue these days. So, count us in for Scene It 2, Lips and the Movies game.
Me, I’m looking forward to all the above, Gears, Fable…. And excited about the avatars and new dashboard social stuff. Great job.
Yeah, finally
I was already wondering what the secret project was.
Cool to hear about a scene it! 2. I just hope that you guys have fixed the major issue in v.1: the time it takes to go from one game to another. We all hated having to wait for the transition scenes and comments. We just wanted to move on to the next series of questions and there was no way to skip this. In fact we stopped playing it because of that.
Looking forward to the new one and the whole avatars thing.
When did you start working on this?
have you been using the new 360 UI? and if so can you post some pics of your avatars? as well as your thoughts about the new UI
John, have you spent any time with Krome in Australia as part of this project or can you do what you need to from Redmond? Really looking forward to this esp. the Live multi.
I think Krome did a great job with Party Animals.
What a great game and I love the integration of Avatars. I’m really looking forward to playing this FINALLY across Live! Can’t wait for it to hit.
