    Love the podcast guys. I have a few questions about the nxe I’m hoping u can get the answers to;

    1) the new group chat, I love that this is being implimented but how will it work with games that don’t let you speak to your team mates when you are dead such as gears of war? This could spoil some online games if the game can’t disable chat when you are dead. Also how is bandwidth affected, some games like halo for instance use a proximity chat or push to talk chat system to prevent too much bandwidth being used.

    2) has the media player been updated at all? I’m hoping for an album cover interface rather than text based browesing. Has the codec support been updated for example to support the now very popular mkv format? Also has ff/rw been added to mp3 playback?

That’s all I can think of for now!

    Keep it up guys

    Kev

Hey guys, greatings from Portugal. Great podcast. Just started to play Viva Pinãta 1 and it’s great. Just 6 questions to Major:

1 about subtitles… please MS please (for movies in divx and future games by the way, so my wife can play and understand the story)

2 about DLC coming to all LIVE regions once and for all.

3 about video conference, is it possible for more than 2?

4 (same question as Kelvar, about voice chat in games)

5 about Netflix and similars. Is it possible, iven in future updates, to try and have protocoles with localized sites, to see movies on local LIVE regions?

6 people that have UNO will be able to play with the new apearence for free?

PS: I’ll think of more to ask, just give e some time ;-)

    you reminded me alex…

    3) I’m fed up of hearing about Netflix integration, you never mention that this is only available in the US, it’s like 360′s aren’t sold anywhere else….what do UK users get?. Really, you are making a huge deal about the Netflix integration and its getting on my nerves!.

Kevlar X, sorry to hear you’re finding all the Netflix coverage so annoying, but as an American XB360 owner I have to say it really is one of the most exciting features of the NXE. Avatars are cool and all, but being able to be totally lazy and get unlimited Netflix movies on our XB360? That’s priceless! Especially when it’s 5 below zero out and snowing like heck.

Yes, and only in the US. If you think Netflix accounts for a large chunk of the new dashboard’s improvements feature wise, now take that away ( thats what the rest of the world gets ) and your left with a dashboard update with significanlty less impact. Stop ignoring the rest of the world MS.

I can understand why netflix is only in the US – in Australia, we don’t have netflix to begin with – so, we can’t have integration now can we?
It does suck that we get little of the xbox love – we still haven’t got a video marketplace. However, I do understand the licensing issues for these things are different from country to country.
And that xbox australia is lazy :)

Oh my god, I am hurting hearing you guys talk about Starcraft. How can you guys call yourself gamers and not know anything about Starcraft? ;) I am so going to rub this in at the office.

Loads of questions about the NXE and I have one too.
Me and my brother share a gamertag, it just makes things easier without swapping around and the such. But with the new Avatar’s it’ll kind of single out who’s it is, is there any way to get like, two avatar’s to the same gamertag, or a few to the same gamertag i mean i’m sure families share a gamertag for the more casual gamers. And then maybe be able to use just one avatar when using in game?

    Question for Major Nelson:
    1) Any details why NetFlix was delayed at Launch for NXE and is NetFlix still an absolute feature for NXE? (As in will the delay cause any uncertainty about the feature coming to NXE or not).

Love the podcast, you guys are awesome and keep up the great work.
