Website upgrades

Posted by jaynoon on November 11, 2008 – 10:40 am

Now that the bulk of our holiday titles are out the door, expect to see some more work go into the website over the next few months.

You’ll notice we now have the NXE Gamercards on the right. Justin has his avatar on the Platform Biased gamercard because he can’t remember to bring his normal profile to work.

Further work will include adding more useful stuff to the sidebar, cleaning up some of our layouts and posting templates, and probably some other stuff that we haven’t thought of yet.

Is there anything that’s not on the site that you would like to see?

I can’t wait for the NXE to come out.

I love how MGC.net made the NXE cards already :D

The NXE Cards look pretty cool, are they cut off a little though, I’m guessing the numbers are your gamerscores but I doubt that Robey only has a score of 5. They must be wider than the last version.

Wouldn’t mind hearing your thoughts on the Banjo Kazooie “standard screen” text issue.

As testing folks, it must be upsetting to know that such an issue got out into the wild – and the subsequent “let them eat cake” initial response followed by the “ok, ok, we’ll fix it” business kinda made it even more crazy.

I think it’s kind of a bummer that it managed to get out like that, Dead Rising had the same issues and caught a lot of flac from everyone, and so did lost planet if I remember right. I’m just wondering if that during the testing was there no one testing on a standard definition TV as well as high definition. I can see it being pretty easy to overlook but sometimes its the little things that can hurt the most. I still play on a standard def TV and I’m a little disappointed by this. It feels like I was left out a little just because I’m “last gen” on the television side of things.

The System still looks phenomenal on standard TV’s as well as high def televisions so I’m not so much in a hurry to upgrade anytime soon.

Love the show and I hope to catch you guys on live someday

I’d like to see more content than just audiocast. The Crackdown city block testing article was a great addition to the audio.
I’d love to see more about the behind the scene of testing games. How are tasks assigned. How does testing actually take place (automated and manual)….
Keep up the great show. (being in Europe, I have no idea what you guys talk about sometimes, especially what’s a Hotpocket?). Cheers.
