Podcast #015 – Games of the year

Posted by jaynoon on January 16, 2009 – 5:42 pm

We talk about our favorite games of 2008, and there is very little overlap between our lists. Then we interview Chris Lee, a Microsoft Producer currently working on Halo. Finally we talk about the forthcoming Resident Evil 5 demo.

  • Our favorite games of the year
  • Interview with Chris Lee, Microsoft Producer on Halo
  • Resident Evil 5
And yes, we realize that we’re wrong about when Lost Odyssey came out, but it’s just so much fun to tell Robey he’s wrong.

UPDATE: Forgot to mention that Kafer worked his audio magic on this podcast, and did it in Stereo. Let us know if you like it better in the comments.

You guys might notice that today’s episode is enhanced a little. It’s now in stereo with each of our voices occupying a specific “space”. This is to help differentiate us a little. Let us know in the comments if you like it.

Hey. The MP3 doesn’t seem to be downloadable for me. If I left click on the link, it just loads and the browser (Firefox) says “waiting for media.libsyn.com…”

And if I right click and tries to save the target on my computer, nothing happens. I guess there are some problems with the media libsyn servers or something.

Hopefully it will be fixed by tomorrow, cause I really like the topics.

    Lost Odyssey
    Release Date: 2/12/2008

It came out in Japan in 2007, but it is technically a 2008 release in North America.

The download issues have been resolved. Similar to the technical difficulties I posted about a few days ago, our podcast hosting provider had some problems this morning.

Please let us know if you’re still having trouble.

Thanks to Jeffrey for mentioning Pure as his favorite game of the year. This game realy deserves it. One of the most enjoyable experience for me also.

This is realy an underrated game and everyone should give it a try. The demo is very good but don’t do the game justice.

Great show you guys, I really enjoyed the interviews and everything, I thought it was really cool that some of your games of the year were also on the PC as well and not just the 360. Hope to here another one, any chance of hearing anything from artists, graphic designers, or other fields like that. Just a thought

you’ve probably already answered this, but will there ever be a community gaming “night” where we get to play with the podcasters, or should i just send a game invite every once in awhile
