Just listened to the episode. Quite interesting.
I’m a fan of Nuts & Bolts, so I got LOG’s Lost Challenges right away. Hopefully I can finish the challenges, because I really want to sssave the universsse with Klungo.
I agree with you John that Peggle is a great XBLA game. Playing it almost daily, mostly online in a Peg Party or ranked Duel. My favorite XBLA game so far this year.
PS: Both Robey’s and Chamberlain’s gamercard on this site links to Robey’s gamertag on Xbox Live.

By the way, I’d like to note that the sound quality seems to have gone up but the volume is all over the place. John usually is a little too loud and Chris a little too low. :)

  6. Posted April 10, 2009 at 10:04 am | Permalink

Yeah, I know the volume is a little funky. We need to get Chris to speak up a bit, and I need to figure out how to normalize the audio between us (and the intro music) better.

I fixed the link to Chris’ Gamer Profile.

I’ll drink more coffee next time so that I’m amped and speak up louder. Either that or I’ll immitate Metallica’s vocalist James Hetfield when talking since I’ve been playing so much Guitar Hero Metallica.

    Hi guys!
Been following since the start but even on the internet I’ve always been quite shy haha.

First things first, love the podcast, been following you guys since the start.

If you make a return of questions on the show I do have one that I’m quite keen to ask. I’m currently using the XNA tools (and am very impressed by them), but I was wondering, would a completed and released game be beneficial in breaking into the games industry?
    And if so, how?

Thanks guys! (apologies for the long post by the way >.< )

Oh and Chris, I share your RE5 addiction, had a scream getting the full 1000 in co-op. Brilliant game…

Hey guys, listened to the show at work and loved every minute of it. I remember the game you were talking about for the PS2 with the bad voice recognition, It was called Lifeline. I loved the X-play video on it, especially the little rants Adam went on and the easter egg they found with the dog barking.

Anyway, I too am currently addicted to RE5, and Halo Wars as well. By the way I have been meaning to ask who was it that played Halo Wars for close to 5000 minutes on the platform Biased account, cause who ever that was must have went through a ton of coffee or Mountain Dew to play for that long.

Love the show and keep it up. You guys are doing great

    Hi boys,
    Great show as usual :-)
You really should do them more regularly.

Cracking show as per normal. Sounds a lot better withe the new location – it no longer sounds like are sharing a side office alongside nervous job applicants and folks getting bad annual reviews :)

I can only speak from experience of the software I use, but SoundForge has a hand-dandy “normalize” tool that does exactly what it says on the tin. You set you target level and you can align all your audio to the same level. You could probably cobble the whole podcast together in an hour on there.

Was a little disspointed that you didn’t all have half-asleep “just woken up” Barry White voices going on there :)

Great show guys. Chris, I thought the EXACT same thing when I played Trivial Pursuit!
I’d never played it either and I was incredibly confused, I was really looking forward to playing it as I loved Monopoly and other board game sims but I wont be revisiting it any time soon.

Looking forward to the next show, its great to see them popping up more frequently. Keep it goin guys, and Chris, you’re doin great ;)

    Hey guys.
Just though i might correct you a bit about the RE5 tresure achievement. You dont need to have one of every item in your inventory, you just need to have found them and then go to the inventory screen and the achievement unlocks. So you can sell everything as soon as you find them and still get the achievement.
On a related note, im super addicted to RE5, Ive played it for +35h and am working on the last achevement, the finish the game on the hardest diffeculty one. And just to pat my self on the head I got the veteran achievement whitout infinite ammo enabled. Though im running around on pro whit a AK47, magnum, handgun and a rocket launcher all whit INF. Ammo. Took playing through the game 4 times to get enough to buy the ammo for them.

As always a great show and Chris really is a great add-on to the podcast. It is always great to listen to your show and this one was once again great :) .
I have ordered the Simpsons game and Trivial Pursuit after the information in your show and I can’t wait for those games to arrive.
The sound was btw great, much better this time :) and I hope it is just the beginning of improving the great quality of the show of you guys :) , keep up the great work.

    Hi guys, loving your work

I’ve recently knocked up a few pics to replace the album art for the podcasts that have come out so far, to sort of add a bit of colour and change things up a bit. I’ve added them to my flickr and thought you might like to check them out.

You can check ‘em here – http://snipurl.com/solemnspirit

    Hope you like them,

Yeah…we’ve all been swamped with work. The great push for E3! John’s editing show #20 and it should be up very soon. We also recorded #21 this week sans Robey since he’s even more loaded with work in his new PM position. ; )

Dont worry Chris, I am sure all of your listeners understand the pressure you guys are under due to E3 and some of your new positions. It is only logical.
Was about to send a hotpocket to you guys but they dont sell them in my country so dont worry :P ;) .
