Lightning Bolt Action probably means that the next Metal Gear game will be less strategic and more action, tailored for western gamers.
Omg, 3 shows in 2 days
, I will listen to them right away
,just wanted to thank you guys first for staying on top of things so much right now. I can imagine it must have been hard not to talk about things that you are working on so very hard. And I must admit, I am really looking forward to Crackdown 2
.
With so much great stuff being announced at E3 so far, I don’t think my brain can store it all. I wonder what the next few days will bring
I am so jealous that you get to play Crackdown 2 already. I LOVED THE ORIGINAL! Can’t wait for Natal also, really exciting possibilities. And L4D2? Wow, way out of left field.
It was an amazing conference. No one could have topped that. I’m REALLY looking forward to Splinter Cell, I played Double Agent but couldnt get into it but the graphics alone on the new one are insanely real looking.
Theres so many games to look forward to, ODST, REACH looked really cool.
I could go on about almost everything announced, Facebook and Twitter will be really cool.
Natal FLOORED me, I’d never seen anything like that before and my jaw hit the floor. The future is here, and what did Sony show? The same type of thing but WITH a controller ! Ive seen so many fanboy wars the last few days but the fact is Microsoft always go one step further than anyone else and thats why the company is number one for me.
Great work as usual guys.
Some awesome stuff came out of this years E3, can’t wait to see more details as they come through to us regular folk.
I have updated my Flickr set to cover this show and the last few, as well as show 13 which I somehow missed out last time. Not sure anyone other than me uses them, but nonetheless here they are.
As usual you can check ‘em here – http://snipurl.com/solemnspirit-pb
Awesome show and awesome E3 announcements. Xbox had 3 more than Sony and Nintendo, and frankly they were all better.
Two questions for a future show though: As testers, how much knowledge about programming is necessary, compared to the designated programmers?
And also, do you believe that with all the amazing new technology (Project Natal being a prime example) that the old classics are still going to be better than these new next-gen games? Do you have to be of a certain generation to enjoy certain games that now, look a bit dated e.g. NES games, SNES games etc.
Thanks guys, keep up the good work!
Great show guys! I have a few questions about “breaking into the industry”
1. What college/university is a good college to go to for programming or general gaming. Please keep it cheaper than full sail.
2. Which degree is the most useful as a programmer?(B.A,graduate, masters…)
PS. I live in southwestern ontario.
Just thought of another question for breaking into the industry.
3. Any websites or organizations to help me decide on a gaming career. (producer, programmer, artist, audio)
Wow..Looks its time to start the Fall 2009 Video Game Fund.
This is crazier than the year Bioshock came out.
and yes..I am a dude.
Really, really excited about Crackdown 2…
Slightly distressing that I only just, last weekend, found the final agility orb I’d been hunting for, for months. And just 6 hidden orbs left to find.
This game has taken YEARS of my life, and now I’ve got to do it ALL OVER AGAIN.
Can’t wait
. Good show guys.
Congrats to Ali on getting the final Agility orb. I spent quite a while hunting down those orbs (both types). I’ve ordered Infamous (on another platform) after playing the demo as it has many of the same features that made Crackdown fun. That should hold me over until Crackdown 2.
As for testing questions, I wonder if you have any stories of odd problems that turned out to be multi-core related. Those can be especially frustrating bugs to find.
