Podcast #025 – Summer of Arcade

Posted by jaynoon on July 28, 2009 – 3:20 pm

Summer of Arcade is upon us! We chew the fat on the five great titles that are part of Summer of Arcade, as well as a bunch of other stuff:

Summer of Arcade '09

On the Show:

Fighting games vs. Adventure games. LET’S GET IT ON!

King of Fighters XII

Two Monkey Island games?!

Wallace & Gromit

Chris is still playing Fallout 3, specifically Point Lookout, the new DLC

Half Life 2! No, we don’t actually talk about it… But Noonan finished it, and you should too.

Tower Defense games on the iPhone, much to Chris’ chagrin

Defender Chronicles

The Creeps!

Summer of Arcade!

Splosion Man

Marvel VS. Capcom 2

TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled

Trials HD

Shadow Complex

Battlefield 1943

Games John mentioned, but couldn’t remember the name of:

Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People (from Homestar Runner)

GripShift

Well, I have to say, I loved the show :) . It was worth the wait atleast :) . Glad to hear Rare still makes games btw :) . I hope we will here more on Gamecon about it and that we dont have to wait until Tokyo :D .

It was indeed sad that Robey hasnt been able to make it but I am sure he will try to be back again next time :) .

As I tried to ask before (when the comments were still broken), a question for the Rare guys who worked on Banjo Tooie on the N64 and on the Xbox 360 version: Was it great to work again on that franchise and was it great to bring back a much loved franchise to a new generation? And did it bring back good memories?

Well, I will try to go back to Half Life 2 tomorrow again, I watched enough movies this week and I think it is time to game again :) . Keep up the great shows guys :) , allways great to hear a new show.

Like I said before, try Soundforge for editing audio. Using it is a snap. Buying it, of course, is perhaps not so much of a snap ;)
