Imax technology is different yes, if you want to enjoy all the colors however, the Digital 3D showing is better, the colors are looking better. The Digital 3D showing works on 96 frames per second (double flash).
I was indeed talking about 3D that jumps out of your screen. Like the ones with shutter glasses btw, the colored glasses are history these days :).
Personally I loved the Avatar game in 3D though it is not as popping like on the big screen yet. But it is promising I think. It looked really nice on my Samsung PS50B450 which is 3D ready. It just requires a IR transmittor with framesync to send the signal to the glasses. It adds not so much yet to the game but it is one of the first games that supports it so I am really curious about what the future will bring but so far, it works but is still a gimmick. However, it can become something like the switch from 2D to 3D on the screen. If they find good use for it atleast.
