Recorded fresh this week!
So after a 2 month drought of new episodes due to crunch mode and E3, we are back with a show that was recorded this week. Woot!
This show is John and Chris discussing what we’ve been up to (John shipped Crackdown 2, a Title Update, and a demo with achievements!) and Chris has been working on Rare’s Kinect Sports, both for its unveiling at E3 and now on the road to Kinect launch on November 4, 2010.
We then discuss some of the new games that we’ve been playing like Crackdown 2, Transformers: War for Cybertron, Alan Wake, and more. Chris also keeps his Michael Bay bashing to a minimum this time while discussing Transformers games of the past before we move into talking about Summer of Arcade, Destination Arcade, and answer a few new Twitter and listener questions.
Bex and Porkfry were out of action for this episode (hugz from both), but we are hoping to be back in full force in 2 weeks.
Now Transform and Roll Out!

Great show as every time
, was hoping for a bit more about E3 but that will probably be in the next show where Greg and Bex are also there.
.
Super that there will be Keys of the City in Crackdown 2. I was having my doubts first about the game but it is starting to become more and more addictive before you know it. I am right now halfway with the beacons and I enjoy the story a lot. Quite curious about the dark scheme they are up to
I have a question, actually for Porkfry, hope you are allowed to talk about it
. Looking at the Save/Kill Carmine promotion for Gears, does that mean that you have to work on actually 2 games at the same time (from the point then that he would die I mean then)?
Hi guys. Just listened to the podcast. Great stuff =) Thanks for answering my questions. Personally I don’t think that this year’s Summer of Arcade games will be as popular as the ones last year, but Limbo’s got lots of good publicity. And it might just be that I prefer the types released last summer more than this.
As for Plants vs Zombies I can understand if you are unable to answer if you know something confidential. It’s not long ’till August 2nd now anyways =)

I have got 496/500 agility orbs in Crackdown 2. I found ‘em all in CD1, so hopefully I’ll catch ‘em all this time around as well. It’s a fun game, especially in coop.

Hi. Just starting crackdown 2…it quickly relegated another game to my pile of shame
Question for Chris: how is testing (or test planning) different for a Kinect game than for controller-based games.
@Bob: I believe I answer your question in podcast #40 which is recorded and just needs to be edited and posted…hopefully early next week.
@Kristoffer Lygre: Looks like Plants vs Zombies is announced for Xbox 360 release…I noticed a listing on Amazon.com for a disc based version of the game that also included Peggle and Zuma. John is interested in how co-op will work too. John also gives some good orb hunting tips in PB#40.
@Joris: Bex left for a trip to Ireland and Porkfry was swamped, so #40 is just John and I again unfortunately. But we did take a crack at your Save/Kill Carmine question. ; )
Cool I’d like to hear more on the Save Carmine Campaign, should be interesting
Ah, Ireland, I love Ireland. Especially Belfast. Home of the Titanic. The wonderful ship, built by the Irish, Captained by an Englishman and sunk by a German Iceberg
(no offence to any Germans btw
).
.
Can’t wait for the show
