Happy Holidays everyone.
A few notes on the shows/site over the holiday break:
We have a show that will go up today or tomorrow, and more that should continue over the holidays. We’re set baby!
We’re just putting together our re-launch show, and I have to say, it’s really awesome. John + Greg + Chris = silly.
Finally, we’ve updated the blogging software that runs the site to a new version, please leave a comment if you’re seeing anything wonky.
Thanks,
John
Throwback episode #2, the 3D Wonder Machine! The title of the show is a callback to a particularly ridiculous statement John made at the end of the show. We’re both in sort of a weird mood on this show, so expect us to get off the rails once or twice
On the Show:
Silent Hill Homecoming (wrapup)
Batman Demo (preview)
Shadow Complex
Discussion about 2D Game Nostalgia
Reader Questions:
What do we think of James Cameron’s Avatar (The Movie)?
Is Shadow Complex the best XBLA game yet?

We’ve taken down Episode 27 for a few minutes to try and flush iTunes because what it has is busted. Bear with us, show will be back shortly.
We have top men working on it. Top men.
————————————-
Update: I think we have it resolved. Just waiting on iTunes to pick the show back up. Thanks for bearing with us.
-John
As promised, from the vault we have an unaired episode from this past summer, packed with deleted scenes. More to come soon.
On the Show:
Saint’s Row 2
Fallout 3 & Oblivion
Trials HD
Batman Demo (and the movies)
TMNT Arcade
Silent Hill Homecoming
Summer Dash Update
-John
P.S. Porkfry & Chris say hi.

We know it’s been forever since we posted a new show. But we’re not dead, we’re not finished, we’re relaunching. Part of the issue has been workload, part of it has been a reduced show cast (just John & Chris).
But we’re working on a relaunch. If you look to the right you’ll notice that our beloved Justin Robey has bid us farewell, but we’re welcoming Porkfry to the show. We’re very fortunate to have Greg aboard, and we’re going to be doing some new things with his help.
Watch this space over the next week for a couple of older shows to be posted that we never got edited properly. After that the relaunch will officially begin, with Pork joining the cast, and more regular shows after that.
Thanks for sticking with us, we’re just getting to the point where we should all be able to say more about the games we’re working on–we’re excited for everyone to hear more about Crackdown 2, [REDACTED] and of course, [REDACTED]
Thanks,
Platform Biased
We talk about plenty of stuff other than Splosion Man this week, but John goes on and on about it, so it’s the SPLOSION CAST! CAAAAKE!
On the Show:
Seattle Heat Wave!
Chris’ crazy collectin’
Splosion Man
Gears of War 2 – All Fronts DLC
Mailbag!
“Are there too many multiplayer games?”
“Should developers push to get multiplayer into games that are primarily single player?”
“Is a one console future possible with fanboys, competition, and the Big 3?”
“Can the industry survive with so many AAA titles? Is there enough money for them all?”
A pattern of Holiday delays. We talk about stuff we’re still eager for, John mentions Dark Void, which is then delayed days later..

Summer of Arcade is upon us! We chew the fat on the five great titles that are part of Summer of Arcade, as well as a bunch of other stuff:

On the Show:
Fighting games vs. Adventure games. LET’S GET IT ON!
King of Fighters XII
Two Monkey Island games?!
Wallace & Gromit
Chris is still playing Fallout 3, specifically Point Lookout, the new DLC
Half Life 2! No, we don’t actually talk about it… But Noonan finished it, and you should too.
Tower Defense games on the iPhone, much to Chris’ chagrin
Defender Chronicles
The Creeps!
Summer of Arcade!
Splosion Man
Marvel VS. Capcom 2
TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled
Trials HD
Shadow Complex
Battlefield 1943
Games John mentioned, but couldn’t remember the name of:
Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People (from Homestar Runner)
GripShift

Bunch of jibber jabber this show. Chris and John go over some news, talk about the games we’re playing, and answer a bunch of your questions about testing & game development, including: How much programming experience do you need to be a game tester, the best schools for game careers and more.

One last show Chris and John recorded before E3. We anticipate awesome announcements at E3, and talk about easter eggs on games we’ve worked on. E3 show is going up shortly.

- Do testers give art feedback?
